WebbSometimes you cant really shift fast without damaging the clutch, sometimes the rpms just drop too slow especially if you have rev hang. However the lurching is usually a result of having the drivetrain and the engine at different speeds match each other quickly (dumping the clutch at the wrong time). You can fix this by 1. Webb21 feb. 2007 · Hello everyone: I am noticing that when I start in the morning, my transmission is really slow in shifting into higher gears until engine warms up to at least 80 according to the temp. gaguge. It will need to hit 2500 ~ 2700 RPM before it will even shift. But once it reaches operating temp, it shifts smoothly and quickly.
