WebThe Central Securities Depository Regulation (CSDR) is the latest step in establishing an EU-wide harmonised regulatory framework for financial market infrastructures. Settlement across borders presents higher risks and costs for investors within one country. To harmonise rules in this area the EU has adopted a CSDR. WebCSDR has entered into force in 2014 with an implementation running until 2025. In accordance with Article 75 of CSDR, the European Commission (EC) was requested to review and prepare a general report on CSDR for submission to the European Parliament and the Council by September 2024.
